Felix Scheinberger

Felix, born in Frankfurt am Main, found drums to be more important than school and studies. Playing in punk bands instead of getting a high school diploma, the gifted exam had to become his ticket to the University of Applied Sciences for Design in Hamburg, where he studied illustration.

Over the last ten years he has illustrated over 50 books, regularly worked for esteemed newspapers, garnered awards and taught in Mainz, Hamburg, and Jerusalem. With his bestsellers "Dare to Sketch" and "Watercolor for Designers," Felix brought the "Urban Sketching" movement to Germany and reintroduced pens and watercolor sets to countless creatives. The translation of his books into nine languages made him on of the most influential artists in the international drawing scene.

Felix Scheinberger lives in Berlin and teaches as a professor of illustration at the University of Applied Sciences in Münster.
